BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1974 in Kyiv.

1993 - Graduated from Odessa Theatre and Art School, specialising as a make-up artist and puppeteer.

1994 - Launched the first fashion collection, “Bottle Passions”.

1995 - Awarded first prize at the “Admiralteyska Golka” festival in St. Petersburg.

1997 - Debuted at Ukrainian Fashion Week (UFW) with the first fashion show. Began creating regular seasonal collections under the brand “ZALEVSKIY”.

Since 1999 - Member of the UFW jury for the “Look into the Future” competition for young designers.

1999 - Nominated for the National Prize “Kyiv Pectoral” as production designer and costume designer for the play “Misto Maystrov” at the Theatre of Dramas and Comedy in Kyiv.

Since 2000 - Established the “Zalevskiy Events” studio. Collaborated as a stage director and co-organiser of events with national fashion projects, including “Black Pearl”, “Pearls of the Season”, and “Kyiv Podium”.

2002-2007 - Co-hosted the popular TV show “Chance”.

Since 2004 - Member of the Ukrainian Fashion Council, the National Association of Ukrainian Designers.

2006-2008 - Co-author and curator of the Fashion Aid charity project aimed at supporting people living with HIV.

Since 2007 - Director of the “Holiday Fashion Week” in Odessa.

2008 - Released the photo album “ZALEVSKIY”.

2009 - Designed costumes for the play “The Cherry Orchard” by A.P. Chekhov at the Rivne Regional Music and Drama Theatre.

Directed fashion shows and styled the TV show “50 Blondes” (3 seasons, TV New Channel, Ukraine).

2010 - Directed the TV show “Zirka plus Zirka 2” (TV 1 + 1, Ukraine).

2012 - Began filming the feature film “Z Joke” as both screenwriter and director.

Served as stylist for the TV show “Battle of Choirs” (TV 1 + 1, Ukraine).

2013 - “Z Joke” received five nominations at the London International Filmmakers' Festival of World Cinema. The film won two awards: Best Director and Best Music for a Film.

2014 - The world premiere of “Z Joke” took place at the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), Class A.

2019 - Completed the second feature film, “A GOOD ARTIST IS A DEAD ARTIST”.

2021 - Work continues on the third feature film, “WEREMINDS”.
